I sent Laurent some videos via email showing the issue.  I also remembered that when I first received my River, I was having a similar issue that Laurent fixed with a firmware update.

Discussions / Problems sequencing the Pool f...
Last post by KazRemark - July 14, 2024, 11:12:22 PM
I'm loving the pool so far, and have made some great patches. So far I've been running it standalone, so  I send MIDI clock from my Cirklon (via MIDI cable, I am not using USB).  I've been using the Pool's internal arpeggiator and sequencer, and everything has been working pretty well.  I am able to transpose sequences from my master keyboard, so that's been working as I'd expect.  Now, I am starting to sequence the Pool directly from the Cirklon without using the on-board Arp/Seq, and I am having problems.  The sequence I play from the Cirklon will give me hung notes, and the Pool stops responding to incoming MIDI completely. A MIDI reset (from the Cirklon) will not fix the hung notes, only re-loading the patch on the Pool will cause silence.  But when I play the Cirklon again, the Pool will repeat above behavior. Is anyone else having problems like this?  The patch I am currently trying to sequence is MONO, on MIDI channel 1.  Auto Change CH is set to NONE, and USB Link is set to DAW & Key but it doesn't seem like that should matter since I am not using USB midi.  I'm a little lost so curious if anyone has been able to sequence reliably from an external sequencer and can share some setting that could be the culprit here.

This is obvious,
the need for a a sample converter to the Pool proprietary format.
I am not very clear what is the the sample playback capability in terms of maximum number of samples across a range and maximum duration of the samples.

Implementing microtonal and compatibility with SCALA would be really great!
What I meant is the ability to tune each note of a chosen division of a scale live with the seq encoders. So you can alter the temperament before or while playing, so microtuning for example is not a static state but a fluid and easily changing.
The old korg PS 31/32/33000 is a good example of the function i am proposing but with the ability to save and edit those templates easily.
The advantage is the precise live manipulation of intervals.

Maybe this is someone here, but it's the first demo I've heard that's not by Laurent, so that's useful.

Sounding very classic in parts, with some interesting new digital flavours as well. Exciting! I think we're going to be hearing that vocal preset a lot :)

Yes, adding the K&M second tier is a much better idea, isn't it. Thanks!

It can be done, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you can secure the Pool to the wall. A Vesa bracket fixed to the wall would be a good way of securing the unit. You can also move The River forward a little to put the K&M support behind it and adjust it so that it's just above The River.

Maisonvague uses another solution ;)
